Report of a Meeting of Representatives of Audubon MidAtlantic and the Pennsylvania Audubon Council Board

On February 24, 2025, representatives of the Pennsylvania Audubon Council Board, Leigh Altadonna, Susan Murawski, and Heidi Shiver, met with Audubon MidAtlantic’s Jim Brown and Tess Wilson. The meeting focused on strengthening coordination and cooperation between Audubon Mid-Atlantic and the Pennsylvania Audubon Council in our respective advocacy work to advance the protection of birds and wildlife. There was an emphasis on collaboration on the issues we share and avoid a duplication of effort. The meeting also included discussion about the recent changes in the General Assembly, the challenges ahead in the current legislative session, and the potential to work together instead of working in parallel tracks. Opportunities to follow up with this meeting were identified. The zoom meeting was not recorded but notes were taken via the zoom “AI Companion.” These notes were shared among all participants at the meeting.
